ON THE HONG KONG PEOPLE’S STRUGGLE

The ILPS Hong Kong and Macau chapter organized a forum on the Hong Kong People’s Struggle in the context of the intensified protest movement against the proposed amendments to the autonomous region’s extradition law. Speakers from people’s organizations provided participants with insights on the issues and concerns of the people in Hong Kong from political concerns on the one country, two systems relation with China, to economic concerns on labor condition, housing rights and the plight of the poor in the city.
