Solidarity Message to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the People of Korea on the the Occasion of Victory Day and the 69th Anniversary of the 1953 Armistice Agreement

It is with a warm heart and comradely salute that we extend our solidarity to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the whole people of Korea on the 27th of July celebration of the 69th anniversary of the 1953 Armistice Agreement, marking the end of the Korean War and the victory of the revolutionary forces of the DPRK in foiling the US plan to make the whole Korean Peninsula a garrison of its imperialist wars and plunders in East Asia.

In the six decades since the signing of the said armistice, the US, together with its local puppet, has been utilizing soft and hard power in its aggressive actions against the DPRK and the whole people of Korea. Despite the implementation of US-ROK military exercises, sanctions, black propaganda and other forms of US aggressive actions against the DPRK, the revolutionary fervor of your people has still prevailed. Your revolutionary perseverance and progressive stand for national independence, democracy, socialism and peaceful reunification have inspired the exploited and oppressed people of the world in the struggle against US imperialism and all reaction.

In the past decades since the signing of the 1953 Armistice Agreement, your socialist state, together with its people, has been successful in constructing socialism in the field of economy, culture, and politics while building your national self-defense that protects not only your country but the entire region of East Asia and the Asia Pacific against US aggression.

The victorious efforts of the DPRK for independence, democracy, socialism and national self-defense development have never been much important than today. In its effort to contain the rise of China and to assert its dominance in the Asia Pacific region, the US has been consolidating its security alliance and military strength under the framework of its imperialistic Indo-Pacific strategy, endangering the lives of the proletariat and oppressed nations of the region. The role of the DPRK in the global struggle against imperialism grows even more important.

The International League of Peoples’ Struggle is in solidarity with you, in your continuous effort to build the path towards a united Korea. It is our belief that your principle of self-reliance and solidarity with the exploited and oppressed peoples of the world will continue under the leadership of your beloved Comrade-President Kim Jong-un and the Korean Worker’s Party.

Long live the heroism of your people!
Down with US Imperialism, Onward to Socialism!
