RAÚL MARCO 1936-2020 OBITUARY
Raúl Marco, founder and one of the top leaders of the Communist Party of Spain (Marxist-Leninist) and the Revolutionary Antifascist and Patriot Front (FRAP), died this Friday, October 16 at dawn at the age of 84. Raúl Marco, died holding firm his Marxist Lennist ideological political principles, since he assumed his commitment to proletarian struggle.
As a young man, he joined the Communist Party of Spain, a Party that degenerated to the Jruhhovist revisionism that it fought and later left and built with other consistent militants, such as Elena Odena, the Communist Party of Spain (Marxist-Leninist), which they supported until they led him to the liquidation, a reactionary expression that managed to become entrenched in that second enormous effort.
He also built and led the FRAP during the period of Francisco Franco’s fascism along with Álvarez del Vayo, a former Republican minister in Spain. In the same proletarian direction, it also assumed the task of proletarian internationalism, contributing to the construction of the International Conference of Marxist-Leninist Parties and Organizations (CIPOML), in which its important role is recognized.
From the National Coordination Committee of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS), we pay tribute to the life and work of Raúl Marco, considering his contributions to the anti-fascist and anti-imperialist struggle, as well as to the struggle for scientific socialism.
