Shrinking Civil Space in Palestine

LENGTH: 25 min :02 sec

A presentation of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS)

Our first podcast is about the serious problem of shrinking space in Palestine. The first interview is with Firas Jaber, co-founder and researcher at Al-Marsad. The Social and Economic Policies Monitor (Al-Marsad) was established in 2012 by a group of activists and young researchers. It is a civil society, research institution specialized in analyzing and criticizing the social and economic policies of the Palestinian government, and holding them accountable to ensure social justice for all Palestinians, especially the most vulnerable.

And the second interview with Sahar Francis, Director of Addameer Foundation. It is an independent, non-profit Palestinian civil institution concerned with human rights. It was founded in the occupied city of Jerusalem in 1991 by a group of activists and people interested in human rights to support prisoners, and to combat torture through legal monitoring and follow-up and solidarity campaigns.

The podcast (In Arabic) is hosted by Nadine Jad, Media Coordinator at Al Marsad. Length: 25 min 02 sec
