The new Zionist coalition government in Israel announced plans to annex significant parts of the West Bank within its’ first 6 months of operation.
Any annexation would be a blatant violation of international law which prohibits the use of force for the acquisition of occupied territories.
When the United states and its’ allies accused Russia of invading and annexing Crimea in 2014, they were unreserved in their condemnation and swiftly followed with applying economic and political countermeasures against Russia.
The International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS) strongly condemns the Zionist Government of Israel and its masters in the United States for the announced decision to annex more Palestinian Territory on top of five decades of Israel occupation, oppression and mistreatment of the Palestinian people.
We demand that the world’s nations not only unreservedly condemn the latest unspeakable Zionist /U.S threats and aggression, but that they also agree to political and economic sanctions against the Israeli Government.
According to an open letter from 50 European prime ministers and foreign ministers, “The plan envisages a formalization of the current reality in the occupied Palestinian territory, in which two peoples are living side by side without equal rights. Such an outcome has characteristics similar to apartheid – a term we don’t use lightly”
The ILPS, and its member organizations and allies across the globe will take protest actions and will mobilize in support of the Palestinian People’s rights and in opposition to the latest unacceptable undemocratic and inhuman behavior of U.S. Imperialism and Zionist Israel in the Middle East.
