As Chairperson Emeritus of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle, I wish to express warmest greetings of solidarity to all the colleagues now forming the EL Salvador Chapter of ILPS. I congratulate you for convening as founders of the chapter.
Trump and Erdogan have no one else to blame but themselves in the worsening political and humanitarian crisis in Syria. The US aggression for regime change in Syria using the terrorist Islamic State failed and only increased hostilities. What effectively thwarted the terrorist menace in Syria were the people themselves and the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), composed mainly of armed Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ).
For the resounding success of the 6th International Assembly of the International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS), I thank and congratulate the hundreds of participants (delegations of member-organizations, special guests and observers), all responsible bodies such as the Hongkong host committee and its working personnel, the presidium, the commissions and all the groups in charge of the special events and forums.
