The majority of rural peoples are composed of national minorities, Indigenous Peoples, and the peasant and farmers class. The class that feeds 70% of the world, and yet 80% of the world’s hungry people live in rural areas.

While capitalists amass corporate profit and imperialist powers continue to shape the global food systems, there are 2.3 billion people suffering from food insecurity. The poorest of the poor starve, and farmers and rural peoples asserting land rights are silenced and killed. Our peasants and rural peoples stand on the front line against landlessness, world hunger, malnutrition, destructive food production, and environmental destruction.

To push for collective practices in land development, food production, and environmental protection, we call our national minorities, we call everyone to join the struggle for genuine agrarian reform and a system that protects the rights are our farmers, landless peasants, indigenous peoples, and agricultural workers towards people’s food sovereignty.
