#FreePalestine | Recent attack on Palestine is blatant disrespect of Muslim culture

International League of Peoples’ Struggle condemns in strongest terms the brutal attack by the Israel Defense Forces in Palestine that killed 16 people, including 10 children.

The Zionists have been carrying out genocidal attacks against the Palestinian people for generations. It also needs to be noted that as a matter of course, ordinary citizens suffer due to US imperialism and its never-ending wars in the quest for exploitation and plunder of natural resources. Palestine, originally a country rich in natural resources, has shrunk to around 30% of its original territory, reduced to the West Bank and the Gaza strip.

This recent attack shows blatant disrespect and disregard of the culture of our Muslim brothers and sisters, who have been in the middle of Ramadan during the attack. It is also very near Nakba Day (Memory of the Catastrophe) on May 15, a significant day for Palestinians. This day 73 years ago marked the perpetual displacement, oppression and brutality of the Palestinian people, causing perpetual war and conflict. ILPS Hong Kong and Macau stands in solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people.

We shall hold actions on social media in support. Free Palestine! From the river to the sea, Palestine shall be free! The people united will never be defeated!
