SAN FRANCISCO- ILPS USA and its allied networks mobilized in solidarity with the people of Iran vs US war and aggression.

Following the murder of General Qasem Soleimani of Iran, the imperialist US government has continued to incite war in the Middle East by imposing deadly economic sanctions and intensifying massive violence among their people. Oil giants have long been drooling over Iran’s nationalized oil assets and rich gas reserves. The relentless efforts of US to inflict regional instability in the Middle East through hard-hitting military interventions have become so corrosive to the toiling masses.

ILPS Philippines, allied networks and peace organizations participate in the Global Day of Action vs US war on Iran and the Middle East.

Motivated by his desperation to surpass his current impeachment and gear for the next US presidential elections, Donald Trump has gone all-out in strengthening his war machine in various countries, with no regard for their democratic rights , national sovereignty, and even international laws. These criminal acts have left the people of the Middle East with no other choice but to turn their outrage into a stronger fight against US Imperialism.

In solidarity with the people of Iran, ILPS and different groups, peace networks, and sectors took the streets of major cities and regions in various parts of the world – Philippines, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Guatemala, Kenya, Japan, Italy, San Fransisco, Seattle, Chicago, Portland, Sydney, and Canada to strongly denounce the US-led wars and aggression. Our strong international solidarity is a vital step in our persistent building of a global democratic and anti-imperialist movement.
