Week of Action: March 26 – March 31
Destroy US Imperialism! End Imperialist War and Conquest! Take Back Our Peoples’ Land and Sovereignty!
As inter-imperialist rivalries intensify and the United States attempts to maintain its status as the hegemon in a multipolar world, the ensuing reaction, plunder, and exploitation unleashed from it is worst on the toiling and oppressed masses in the colonies and semi-colonies. They have been suffering from the feudal conditions, state fascism, and vast militarization maintained and expanded by mainly US imperialism for over the last century, fitted with a mask since the era of ‘decolonization’. As the US desperately claws like a dying animal during its strategic decline, it and its allies have also abandoned any false pretenses of human rights or respecting a ‘rules-based order’, openly stating their colonial aims of enslaving nations to steal and exploit their land, resources, and labor-power.
Within the last 3 months, as part of its explicitly colonial strategy as described in the recent National Security Strategy, the United States has unleashed terrorist attacks against Venezuela and Iran, kidnapping or killing the leaders of these sovereign countries alongside the hundreds or thousands more killed. This of course comes at the 3rd year of the genocide in Gaza by the US and the Zionist entity. Those not directly targeted by US imperialism’s wrath have still faced ever-worsening conditions due to the imperialist crisis. Local bureaucrats work hand-in-hand with the imperialists to arrest, maim, disappear, or kill revolutionaries, activists, and the masses fighting against imperialist plunder and exploitation in countries such as India, the Philippines, Kenya, Guatemala, and many others. However, despite the fascist offensive all around the world, the toiling and oppressed peoples have resisted valiantly, warding off imperialism at every turn and exposing its inability to quell the peoples’ struggle through shock and awe tactics.
It is in these dire conditions of imperialist crisis and the resoluteness of the militant resistance globally for land, liberation, and sovereignty that the International League of Peoples’ Struggle calls on its member organizations to take up the call to “Destroy U.S. Imperialist War and Conquest! Take Back Our People’s Land and Sovereignty!” Under the banner of this call, the League is waging a global week of action from March 26th to 31st, to educate and mobilize on these following days:
March 26: Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and First Combatant Cilia Flores are expected to have their second sham court appearance after being kidnapped by the United States and brought to trial under completely bogus charges of ‘narco-terrorism’. This comes as the US claims to have defeated the Bolivarian Revolutionary government while continuing to bomb small fishing vessels off the coasts, claiming with no evidence that they are drug runners. Despite Trump’s recent Summit of the Americas consolidating an alliance among the fascist ruling class across Latin America, the Bolivarian government still stands upright and has not been overthrown by the United States. The Venezuelan people continue to demand their rightfully elected President and First Combatant returned, and they and their allies will take to the streets around the world on this day, including outside the court building in New York City itself.
March 28: In January of 2024, the Modi regime launched Operation Kagaar (Final Solution) with an ambition to end the Maoist insurgency by 2026. In the last two years, Operation Kagaar has been a picture of the brutality of Nahendra Modi’s Hindutva-fascist fantasy and chauvinism, while kowtowing to the demand of foreign extractivist industries and local compradors to open up the vast richness of Central India’s forests and mountains. In recent months, the Modi government has reiterated its obsession to quell people’s resistance by declaring March 31st as “Maoism’s end in India”. This obsession has resulted in more violent crackdowns, military operations, and killings in its most vicious forms. As a response to the call initiated by Indian mass organizations, ILPS is endorsing the call for a global day of action on March 28 against Operation Kagaar.
March 29: In almost five decades, imperialist powers—headed by the United States and institutions such as the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and World Trade Organization—have imposed neoliberal restructuring throughout the Global South. Carried out by compliant neo-colonial states, these policies have eroded public support for agriculture, deregulated land and resource governance, and pried open rural economies to transnational corporations. The struggles of the landless peasantry demonstrate that genuine agrarian reform and sustainable agriculture are not policy abstractions – they are living, people-led solutions to the land, food and climate crises perpetuated by imperialism. The Day of the Landless is an annual day to highlight these struggles through mobilizations, pickets and other peasant-led actions.
March 30: Starting in 1976 following a general strike in which 6 Palestinians were massacred by the Zionist entity while protesting land stolen from the Arab villages of Sakhalin and Arraba, Palestinian Land Day has stood as a day of national unity of Palestinians for the demands of the return of their land, the end of the Zionist occupation and settlements, and the right of return for Palestinians. Since the Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7th, 2023, the Zionist entity, with full support of the US, has conducted a brutal genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza, invaded Lebanon, destabilized Syria, attacked Yemen, and is currently assaulting Iran. The Zionists, however, have not been able to achieve even one military objective against the united resistance in Palestine and have isolated themselves on the international stage.
OBJECTIVES
- Wage coordinated actions focused on the key dates of the week of action (click the dates for more information from the Calendar of Events):
- Conduct propaganda and education that deepens understanding on the interrelated fight for land, liberation, and sovereignty by the toiling and oppressed masses, against principally US imperialism
- Popularize the ILPS primer on the US National Security Strategy through community education sessions
- Educate on the current flashpoints of inter-imperialist rivalry, the offensives of finance capital, the linkages between fascism and militarism, hybrid warfare, and sanctions
- Showcase the struggles for national liberation, defense of sovereignty, and against fascist regimes and land grabbing. Build solidarity for these struggles.

March 28 – Global Day of Action Against Operation Kagaar
Defeat Operation Kagaar! Stand with Adivasis, national minorities, and the Indian people against the US-backed Modi regime!
The ILPS Commission 10 (Commission for indigenous peoples and national minorities) extends its full commitment to join the Indian people, Adivasis and all national minorities across India in rallying against the terror of the Hindutva-fascist Modi regime. In line with this, we join the Indian mass movement in its call for a global day of action against Operation Kagaar on March 28th and its observance of Anti-Imperialism Week from March 23-31.
We call on our network to heed the call for a global show of solidarity and condemnation against the Modi regime’s crimes against Adivasis, Muslim national minorities, and the Indian people.
Let use this day to:
• Hold actions outside your local Indian embassies, city-centers, and communities
• Conduct solidarity forums and educational discussions on Operation Kagaar and the situation of peoples across India under the Modi’s rule
• Release written and video statements condemning the Modi regime and calling for an end to Operation Kagaar
• Take photo and video selfies with calls in solidarity with the peoples of India and against Operation Kagaar

March 29 – Defend Our Land and Territories! Onward with People-Led Agrarian Reform! Forge a Future Free from Imperialist Control!
This 2026 Day of the Landless campaign will highlight the people-led efforts for genuine agrarian reform and sustainable agriculture while their communities battle against neoliberal policies and programs pushed by imperialist agents and institutions. This campaign will be a month-long with the first two weeks of March launching this in the social media platforms of the Asian Peasant Coalition (APC) and its international and regional networks. The 3rd week will feature on ground activities by APC members and partner networks while the last week leading to March 29 will feature mobilizations, pickets and other peasant-led actions.
The campaign will culminate in the Global Landless Speakout on March 29.
The DOTL 2026 campaign is organized by the APC, in partnership with the Peasant Commission of the International League of People’s Struggle (Commission 6), and the People’s Coalition on Food Sovereignty.

March 30 – Free Palestine! Defeat Zionism! Struggle for the Right to Return!

On Land Day 2026, the ILPS is supporting the calls of the Global Campaign to Return to Palestine, which is for people and organizations to conduct the following actions:
- Photo exhibitions documenting the crimes of the occupation and the steadfastness of the Palestinians with a display of the names of the martyred children in Gaza since the beginning of the war (under the age of 16) – stating their ages, in an artistic way that draws attention.
- Popular marches and solidarity vigils in front of parliaments and embassies.
- Widespread participation on social media of the massacres and aggressions committed by the enemy, with the use of the hashtag #LandDay
May this year’s Land Day be a global station to raise the voice of truth and renew the covenant for Palestine as a land, a people and a cause.
