Fight Against Zionism and Imperialism. Put an End to the Zionist Genocidal Regime! End the Occupation!

The International League of Peoples’ Struggle denounces the US-Zionist attack against the Islamic Republic of Iran. This blatant act of aggression continues and dangerously escalates the genocidal and expansionist onslaught that the entity of “Israel” has been waging on the people of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Yemen for the past 20 months. The anti-imperialist and peoples’ movements of the world decry this US-Zionist war of aggression and increase their struggles to end US imperialism and fight for a just and lasting peace.

The Zionist State of “Israel” attacked the Islamic Republic of Iran, an attack intended to wipe out Iran’s possibility of building nuclear weapons. Despite their claims to the contrary, it is clear that the western imperialist powers and their institutions were well aware of and supported the attacks by the Zionist entity. While the US was in negotiations with Iran on a nuclear peace deal, the International Atomic Energy Association (IAEA) claimed that Iran was in breach of non-proliferation obligations. It could be surmised that negotiations were nothing but a way of pretending that the US wanted to have peaceful relations with Iran. However, clearly, the war-mongering genocidal collaborators were planning to unleash a fresh wave of military action in the region.

The US president Donald Trump had stated that “US personnel were being moved out of the Middle East” as early as on June 11, while the Zionist attack happened on June 13. This statement in itself is proof that the US was well aware of the attack to be carried out by “Israel.”

Iran, though suffering a heavy blow to its top leadership, was able to swiftly absorb the shock of the “Israeli” strike, and retaliated with military precision, executed in two waves of missiles and drones. Most missiles hit their intended targets in the heart of Tel Aviv—not just its outskirts. Although the Zionist propaganda machine did its best to obscure the results of the attacks, it could not conceal the direct strikes on security and military sites, most notably the Ministry of Defense headquarters—”the Kirya”—”Israel’s” most important security complex. This alone was a strategic message: Iran can penetrate “Israeli” air defenses and reach its top security leadership whenever it chooses. At the same time, ‘Israel’ failed to achieve its primary goal: neutralizing Iran’s nuclear program, especially the Natanz facility, which was protected by formidable physical and cyber defenses.

Politically, Tehran exposed the treachery of the aggression and rightfully garnered broad public support at home and regional solidarity abroad, while internationalizing the incident through the UN and diplomatic channels. It thus affirmed its role not as a sidelined regional player but a major stakeholder in any Middle Eastern security arrangement. In fact, many world powers—even traditionally hostile ones—refrained from sharply condemning Iran’s limited strike and instead called for “restraint from all parties.” This marks a significant political shift in how Tehran is perceived—as a responsible power rather than a “rogue” state, a label Western media long tried to cement.

However, the treacherous lackeys of the US are doing their best to create a political upheaval in Iran, suggesting that the people of Iran are demanding a regime change. Though the camouflage of democracy, human rights, freedom of expression and speech much spouted by the western imperialist powers has been blown to pieces in the repeated wars of aggression against Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, and the atrocious brutal genocide in Gaza, the façade of so-called democracy is still flagged against the Axis of Resistance, with Iran being held as the center of “terrorism.” The fact is that Iran is the one of the few countries that has dared show the world the brutal face of the US, and other colonial and neo-colonial western powers, and has steadfastly stood with Palestinian resistance against its occupation.

Today, no doubt the Axis of Resistance has been the fulcrum which has brought people across the world together in unity to stand up against colonization, neo-colonization, and occupation; to the wrath of the United States, its own people have come to challenge the hegemonic war-mongering state and its criminal support of “Israel.

The US in itself is now facing various crises, the worst being the inter-imperialist rivalry and competition, which is driving it to more and more aggressive behavior much that reflects its inability to maintain its position as the most superior imperialist power in the world. The resulting maniac-like aggression by the US state against its own citizens, ordering national guards and the marines in response to protests in California and other states lays bare the fascist nature of the US. At the same time, while accusing Iran and other countries of authoritarian behaviour, the US has close, deep ties with fascist and dictatorial states such as India, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, and of course the genocidal “Israeli” regime.

The unprovoked attack on Iran by “Israel” with full backing of the US is a clarion call for the people of the world to stand up against the imperialist militaries of the world, and push for an anti-war peace movement. These wars are for the war-profiteers, the military industrial complexes of the western world. For the people of the world, these wars bring nothing but loss of livelihood, soaring inflation, further exploitation and excavation of mines and minerals for the weapons industry, and ultimately death and destruction.

The ILPS calls on its members to stand with the people of Iran in their fight to defend their national independence and uphold their staunch opposition to US imperialism and its lackeys. The League also continues to stand with the people of Palestine, who remain steadfast in their militant resistance to overthrow the Zionist occupation and live on their land from the River to the Sea. Palestine remains at the heart of the fight against Zionism. The people of the world fighting for their liberation and a bright socialist future stand together in a broad anti-imperialist united front with all genuine national liberation movements and states asserting their national independence from imperialist intervention, and we look forward to more victories for this united front of the people in the years to come.

End to the Zionist Genocidal Regime!

End to Imperialist Wars of Aggression!

Fight for Just and Lasting Peace!

Signed,

International League of Peoples’ Struggle
