Congratulations to the Revolutionary Students’ Front 6th General Conference

Statement of the ILPS

The International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS) congratulates the Revolutionary Students’ Front for holding their 6th General Conference. This is a crucial success given the fascist Modi regime’s extreme crackdowns and all-out war against peoples’ organizations and the revolutionary movement throughout India.

The bureaucrat capitalists and landlords that fill the ranks of the neocolonial government are drowning India in blood in order to reap their endless profits through plundering the masses’ livelihoods. The workers’ movement and unions are under attack in the cities, with the police used to break strikes and surveil workers on behalf of the big business owners, all while the price of living continues to skyrocket. The peasantry is immiserated in the countryside and shackled with impossibly high rents, lack of farm implements, and semi-feudal slavery to the landlords’ every whim. The indigenous Adivasi communities are displaced from their land at the behest of foreign mining and logging companies and then subject to intense bombing and counterinsurgency campaigns that mercilessly target civilians. National and religious minorities face extreme racist violence and discrimination enflamed by the Hindutva fascist regime’s public mouthpieces. Women are subjected to extreme gender-based violence and inequality in society due to patriarchy in society espoused from the highest levels of government.

All of these harsh conditions faced by the masses are the result of the comprador Modi government’s complete subservience to imperialism, especially US imperialism, for the sake of chaining the peoples of India to the global neoliberal economy and opportunistically positioning India into the inter-imperialist rivalry between the US and China. Leaders of all people’s organizations and the revolutionary movement are mercilessly hunted down, arrested, tortured, and summarily executed for standing up against the fascist neocolonial regime.

In the midst of the economic crisis, intense political repression and counter-insurgency, the student movement shoulders a historic responsibility to unite against the attacks of the regime and use their knowledge and creative platforms in society to help propagate the tasks of the revolutionary movement, especially amongst the workers and peasants. The Revolutionary Students’ Front has reaffirmed its decisiveness to heed this call, despite the sacrifice and organizational difficulties that it faces due to the crisis and fascist offensive.

The ILPS sends its warmest comradely greetings and congratulations to the Revolutionary Students’ Front and looks forward to the new developments in their work following the 6th General Conference. We stand with them in their fight against the fascist neocolonial Modi regime, and we stand together in the global fight against imperialism and all reaction. Together, we will continue heeding to call of the people to oppose the economic crisis, fascist offensives, and expanding wars of aggression. Let us continue to strengthen our broad anti-imperialist united front and win a bright socialist future for humanity and the planet.
